Pros

good benefits including some benefits for part-timers, strong mission

Cons

huge pay disparity between people at or above director level and everyone else. money thrown around on ridiculous things ($20K on sausage to bail out the CEO's buddy after a product recall, for example) but can't pay the store employees doing the back-breaking work a living wage. ugly politics and hypocrisy.

Pros

paid 15min breaks; long(ish) lunch break.

Cons

Drama. The company doesn't care about you. Your managers don't care about you-- they don't have the capacity to care. Everyone is overworked and underpaid. There's a lot of favoritism and cliques. They never reward the good workers and never punish the bad workers (especially if they're a social favorite) and don't have protections in place for workers who experience harassment or assault. I quit next a worker was allowed to scream at and berate his co-workers and sexually harass the female workers, and nothing was done until he made threats to everyone's health and safety. But I was threatened with potential termination when I called in because I didn't want to be subject to said harassment. It broke my trust in the company. They also threatened to write me up for discussing my wages (illegal) because they weren't giving raises to their senior employees, but were giving raises to their teenaged highschool employees by virtue of being children of other favored workers. And by coincidence the senior members who were denied wages (and called angry and bitter and the reason we couldn't discuss wages) were elderly black ladies, and the teenagers were white. Maybe there was no correlation, but it seemed convenient. Additionally, there was a trans worker who was repeatedly misgendered and deadnamed by one of the managers. Overall, just not a great place. Drama and favoritism and they will work you to the bone for pennies.

Pros

- I really like most of my coworkers -They give you breaks most of the time

Cons

- Micromanaging - Upper management doesn't care if you live or die - You won't get the raise you were promised - No bonuses - You can't even keep the change you find off the floor - Greedy - They somehow manage to overwork you and cut your hours at the same time - If you are being bullied or harassed they do absolutely nothing about it
