Pros

There are very few good reasons to work here except for interim/subsidizing income. Plus, I have met some nice people and made friends of both co-workers and customers. I did get hired in spite of my age.

Cons

I always thought there was an effort to train "clients" and find employment for them. There is not much of that going on. They pay a pittance to them to do the work in the back room so they can overcharge for the donated merchandise they carry. I believe this is a complete abuse of the privilege of having these disabled people work there in order to fatten their own bankroll.

Pros

- Day goes by quickly - Different and interesting inventory daily - Various tasks depending on the needs for the day - Great co-workers

Cons

- Constantly understaffed. Extremely stressful and physically demanding job. - Very rude customers - Management is more concerned with getting bonuses and promotions than developing their own staff and recognizing existing talent - Upper management putting policies and practices into place that make no sense for our operations and make daily tasks much harder
