Pros

Some of the best reasons to work at good will are to, learn self control, practice patients, develop people skills and appreciate your days off.

Cons

Goodwill is designed to break a person down, not build them up. It is the most humiliating job I have ever had, rules and regulations are not enforced, everyone eventually is going to be abused in one form or another, if not from management from coworkers. Scare tactics are used to threaten your job. Backstabbing and rumors run ramped among coworkers.

Pros

Full time work certainly available

Cons

Good was never good enough, meeting outrageous quota expectancies was put on loyal workers that showed up for work, while the slackers got their butts kissed. When you have a bully employee that runs the store and everyone including management bows to for the fear of being reported to HR, or even higher up. The actions of employees that are held to accountability destroys moral of hard working employees. Then to have a head supervisor that doesn't help out physically when short handed , and pulls the rank card due to his tenor w company. He's a joke. Athens on eastside is horribly run, and is not kept up.

Pros

You’ll get actual full time hours.

Cons

I’ve worked here almost a year. - horrible management - HR is the laziest and most unhelpful department that I have ever seen. - If you make a formal complaint, it will not be kept anonymous, and you will likely face backlash. - Lack of proper conditions (extreme heat, extreme cold, black mold growing in the ceilings, wasp nests forming, occasionally no space to work, etc.), - Not enough pay for the work/stress you are expected to put up with - Have to make up other peoples’ slack - Have to put up with poor body odor from coworkers - They say there’s room for career advancement, but there’s not. If you want to advance, you have to memorize many numbers, policies, and even the kinds of labels you have to use for boxes. Meanwhile, they’ll hire in anyone off the street even if they don’t have experience for the position. - Have to deal with people who absolutely do not care how you feel about any of the above. - Customers are the most entitled people ever. They will call you names, literally scratch you trying to grab things off of carts/racks, and parents will let their kids mess up entire aisles and not pick it up.
