Pros

Will hire anyone, 99 cent clothing towards end of month, flexible, Laid back, Simple work, working for a good cause, good healthcare benefits.

Cons

Low pay, chaotic, busy, messy, poor management, poor business outlook, not enough workers to keep up with daily functions of job, which makes it harder for current employees, Upper staff don't do anything to change the negative things about the company such as messy/ cluttered sales floor/ amount of production/ or flow of donations received. Apples way is the busiest goodwill and everything that is donated and the mess that people leave is a lot to handle with the amount of people working and keeping up with everything is very difficult. Small company that has to deal with a lot of work.

Pros

The work environment I experienced at Goodwill encouraged my own personal development to grow alongside challenges of the business. I was given an entire department to cultivate, including everything from receiving and pricing to display and customer service. Superiors were receptive and forward thinking.

Cons

Corporate communication to stores was limited to very wide generalities. More precision spirited strategies went unsupported, like when I tried to get a more coherent merchandising strategy for the Housewares Dept to be adapted storewide, and I made a training manual, the District manager said he wanted to use it company-wide, promised me a raise, and then failed to implement even our one store's distribution of the guide, no less to other stores. For several months until closed by Covid, no salary increase ever materialized.
