Pros

Goodwill gives opportunities to individuals who might otherwise have significant difficulty finding employment. Goodwill also provides training and promotes from within the company and offers decent benefits to full time employees.

Cons

Goodwill wages are sub standard and most people hired are only part time thus no benefits are available. Management is detached from the front line workers.

Pros

Strong mission, focus on helping others, was a good fixture to have in a rural community, flexible working hours were nice.

Cons

Few resources, poor hiring decisions led to high turnover. Not much support from headquarters. Lots of flying by the seat of your pants. Poor training and development of employees.
