Pros

Don’t see any. This model has a lot of advantage but no one is bothered.

Cons

- Professionals who are off track in US are sent to lead practice. This whole practice is run to keep them employed. - Experienced professionals from other practice are offered designation one level below. - Local experienced professionals are hired and treated like freshers across levels. Designations are fishy. - No consideration of good policies of competitors in formulating policies. - Very much racist management with high favouritism. - Professionals who manipulate utilisation to please upper management are rewarded, high performers or promoted. - Promotions are not based on actual work it is based on who is favourite and don’t speak against management. - Of you put a point of view for benefit of larger practice but not what management wants to hear you are rated off track in appraisals. - Good cultural values only on paper no implementation.

Pros

- Truly caring, helpful coworkers. I’ve been astounding by the number of people that are willing to mentor - For the most part, coworkers have been very intelligent and capable - Interesting, technical work where I’ve had the opportunity to really grow my R and Tableau skills - Career growth - it’s pretty easy to figure out what you need to do to get ahead, and there are opportunities to do so - Very manageable work/life balance. 8-9 hours a day plus occasional extra work for “extracurriculars” and business development

Cons

- Some competitors pay more - Data science capabilities need work

Pros

Huge investment in changing the culture Awesome CEO Great vision and values Amazing people A really fun place to work despite being a bunch of accountants and consultants!

Cons

Partner attitudes still need to change in a big way. There is too much in-fighting still over who serves which clients with what services. Significant conflicts arise that seem so unnecessary when the good of the client is what matters most. Confusing manner of organizing services internally. Also creates unnecessary in-fighting and tension. Tensions rise over which service line should be providing which sub-service. This is an issue in Advisory....not Audit and Tax as these services are more straight forward with a lot less overlap. Vacation policy really stinks. Used to be a generous 20 days vacation plus holidays at Manager and below. 25 for Directors. Then they moved to "unlimited time off" based on your professional judgement. Over time, the restrictions put in place and the forms that must be filled out have caused this change to be a huge negative for the employee. They would be better off moving back to the structured number of days approach instead.
