Thank you for your review. Part-time employees are not eligible for the same benefits as full-time employees. Schedules are produced every two weeks in advance and a calendar of publishing dates is available. Pros

Work from home. Remote. Flexible.

Cons

Full time interpreter here in a high-demand language. The company only gives us a MEC (minimum essential coverage) health insurance plan. It does NOT cover the costs of anything diagnostic, procedures, surgery, labor and delivery, or any medical emergency. You are only covered for preventative vaccines like flu shots, COVID shot, and basic routine check, nothing else. So, it's very scary and anxiety-ridden to work here, because if you get sick, you're screwed. I am only able to "afford" to work here because I am on my spouse's health insurance plan that's sponsored by his government job. In a word, this health insurance plan is NOT sustainable for keeping employees here. What about those interpreters who don't have a spouse like me that they can rely on for health insurance. What are they supposed to do? Buyer beware: This is the #1 reason why employees leave LLS. This company is completely eliminating it's candidate pool by not offering a strong health insurance plan for employees. Based on the current job market, interpreters at other companies are provided real health insurance plans. My question for leadership is: Can full time employees please get the option to get a better health insurance plan in 2024?
