Pros

Work from home....no commuting...no lunch expenditures, you do not have to deal with unfriendly co workers, you can wear whatever your heart desires, flexible schedules, you can have weekends off. 401k for part time employees too. and medical insurance for full time employees

Cons

Low wages, poor communication between management and employees now with the upcoming changes who knows what will happen, they will now require video interpreting sad for those of us who are happy without having to see peoples faces...back to back call no getting a chance to breathe.

Pros

working from home. A good place to start a career in interpretation. Makes you feel good to help others communicate

Cons

the recruiting process is very long and took about two months or so. Management is not there. If you need assistance with anything the only thing you have is the website. VERY STRESSFUL as a full time job because breaks are not enough and since i was an entry level they directed all calls to employees like me first , contractors and higher level interpreters received less phone calls because they charge more for their services. Salary is not enough for the stress and the hard work. During the first 2 months i used to receive over-time for extra minutes i worked if my shift ended and im still on call. but then they stopped giving us overtime without even informing us. You will feel isolated no doubt. Health insurance they provide is a joke! Dont accept it if you get the full time job! Days off are unpaid even if recruiters tell you they are paid. They are not!! and you only get 80 hours time off. meaning: only 10 days/year whether you are a new employee or been with them for 20 years. its the same
