Pros

working from home, manage own time slot

Cons

hard to get weekday, daytime schedule once initial schedule has been fixed. only can request schedule change once per year. non-stop calls. only 15 seconds of break time in between calls. Currently the management is reducing schedules assigned to interpreters. you'll get random unpaid time off due to reducing calls.

Pros

Being able to work remotely Once you get the hang of things, you will know how to slightly make things easier for yourself

Cons

Don't be fooled by the fact that you can work remotely; they don't allow you to leave your device/PC at all and track how long you take breaks. No matter how long your previous call is, the standard is that they will only give you 15 seconds until the next call comes in. Usually, the next call will come in immediately due to the very high volume in the amount of calls, unless if it's a holiday in America. The server's connection is very unstable and sometimes it's very difficult for you to hear what the client is saying, but you will still need to force yourself to interpret. You will likely get very burnt out from the job, there is very high turnover rate and people come and go a lot. You are most likely not going to be their direct employee because they outsource it to a lot of recruitment/HR agencies.
