Pros

HOME BASED BUT NOTHING ELSE REALLY... I WOULD STRUGGLE TO FIND MORE PROS

Cons

POOR COMMUNICATION. I worked FULL TIME MORE than 3 years. The company doesn't care about their workers. All decisions are made based on single person. You are stuck with your schedule for the whole year before you can change it. The system is a mess and IHD and Management do not communicate with each other or the employees The only time you get contacted if they want to say something bad to you. Otherwise it is like talking to the walls. LOW PAY, UGLY MEDICAL BENEFITS. WOULDNT WANT TO COME BACK HERE AT ALL.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I’m sorry to hear the reasons for the change and I take them to heart. I wish you the best of luck in your new role. The fact that you have left the company does not make your feedback any less valuable. Please feel free to contact my office so that we can exchange ideas and keep this conversation going. I would like to hear more of your feedback about how we can improve our IHD and scheduling process. I can be reached at swklein@languageline.com or 888-526-4546. Sincerely, Scott W. Pros

medical, vacation, getting paid on time never an issue, occasionally genuinely interesting calls

Cons

isolation of remote jobs vs. "customer is always right" mentality = a lot of pointless situations can be colored in such a way that is detrimental to the interpreter's overall performance. Yes, companies that hire interpreter services can lie. Those e-mails that were leaked to the company e-mails slandering the company and calling for the creation of a union and how the company handled it, not very professional and made the employees very uncertain regarding their future. Professional growth from this job could go either way.
