Pros

You get paid if you do the job which is continuously interpreting for 8 hours straight, you get 2 15 min breaks along with 1 30 min lunch.

Cons

They disable you for short calls. And it take hours to have them re-able your login pin again. Its harsh labor, interpreters are treated like trash. Nobody cares about interpreters, they have 14,000. You are a nobody in this company, IHD treats you like trash always lecturing you and sending you termination threats. This job will numb your brain, I rather flip burgers at McDonalds and get paid $20 than this. They will NEVER give you a raise. Your mental health will deteriorate, Working for this company means listening to peoples problems, always depressing, never anything good.

Pros

I honestly can't find any pros

Cons

They will make you work like a slave. Calls are back to back, you will be constantly monitored and in between the short 15 minutes breaks (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) you will not even be able to go to the bathroom. On top of that they will pay you very little money for very technical interpretation for Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Financial, Utilities, Travel & Hospitality, General Business, Law Enforcement, Court, and 911. They hire at high school graduate level for jobs that require the expertise of someone who has at least a bachelor degree, just in order to pay minimum wage. I really had a horrible experience working like a robot. I did quit really fast because this job started giving me anxiety issues. Besides, there are lots of technical issues and any time you do not work because of technical issues, this is deducted from your pay. I can't believe they are treating employees like this and getting away with it!!!

Pros

They have good training, a great place for anyone who is just starting out interpreting with no experience or training. You can get their training for free as their employee and save your self around $500 for the certification. You can work from home. The work itself is rewarding as you get to help people and gaining knowledge in other areas that you can learn for yourself.

Cons

Depends on your schedule, most of them would have back to back calls with very minimal or no break. Some salary issues from time to time so make sure you check if your paycheck matches your worked hours. They are strict on their schedule changes. You can request to change the schedule once a year but there is no guarantee that they will approve your request. Pay is lower compared to other interpreting companies. High stress due to back and back calls, therefore you'll likely to experience burn out sooner.
