Pros

Maybe if you like to work from home !

Cons

I have worked for over 6 years for this company who treat you like a robot!! I am so stressed and burned out by the demands they expected from you! They don’t care about you!And the health insurance is a joke ! They don’t cover hospital bills at all not even 0.1 %! Pay is so low not enough to cover your bills! Not worth it!

Pros

Paycheck on time every two weeks

Cons

Their Quality assurance Rep. are people who are not humble enough to recognize when THEY are in the wrong, It looks like from every review they do on you, is mandatory they tell you you did something wrong, even if you didn't. They make it sound as if the interpreters are certified for Court, and they tell you that if the Judge asks if you are certified, you should answer "I'm certified by my company" (LIE) They don't pay enough for the kind of job. (Today you actually will make more flipping burgers)

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for your time with us at LanguageLine Solutions. We appreciate you sharing your experience with our Quality Assurance process. It's crucial for us that all feedback given is fair, constructive, and transparent. Our goal is to ensure the process supports interpreters in a way that is respectful and encourages growth. Regarding certification, we aim to provide clear guidelines and ensure our interpreters are informed on how to accurately represent their credentials. Compensation is another area we're actively reviewing to ensure it reflects the skill and dedication required for the role. We wish you well in your future endeavors.

Pros

Remote work, flexible hours, decent training. Can be rewarding work if you stick it out.

Cons

Pay is quite low for the field, but as LLS outsources to Latin American countries, they take advantage of the conversion rate and get away with it. The work is quite exhausting, often dealing with back-to-back calls, intense and fast interpreting with complex vocabulary, and rude clients. The worst part, however, is the horrid app through which you receive calls: it doesn't work half the time, constantly presents errors, and tends to have terrible audio quality, which of course affects the quality of the interpretation.
