Pros

Technical expertise, hard working delivery teams, good pay, visits to Eastern Europe were great

Cons

Leadership is unimpressive (subpar experience, subpar US business connections, subpar capabilities) and ultra reactive to short term trends creating constant chaos, very silo'd so you're reliant on your SVP to effectively communicate things to senior leadership, super cheap and short sighted (declined certain expenses and trade shows that should have been no-brainers), and just overall a total mess. Between accepting my offer and on-boarding, they reneged on several promises they had made to me (unfortunately I did not have them in writing), and they continued to be inconsistent throughout my tenure.

Horrific Leadership and No Opportunity

Pros

By some miracle, they get really smart people to work here. Until you stay for awhile and realize what unorganized, chaotic mess you got recruited into and what a terrible mistake you have made and that if you want any hope of saving your professional career, you have to get out.

Cons

SoftServe is a Ukrainian company that decided they wanted to do business in the US but not really. It's a poorly done rendition of doing business in the US. They throw good money after bad, they have no vision from Chris Baker, who has no experience being a CEO of anything more than a start-up. There is no respect for women. The senior management of this company will micromanage every aspect of this business, so there is no reason for them to hire smart people. Do yourself a favor, don't work here.

Nothing but a revolving door at a circus

Pros

Talented Engineers that are willing to help.

Cons

Too much political bureaucracy. Every quarter there are new rules to play by with respect to sales and business development. The company implements new policy without having thought things through or maturing previous policy implementation. The sales team is nothing but cut throat that tries to poach customers from others territory which senior management condones. The same formula doesn't work fairly for all, so when Peter does it to Paul, Paul tries to do the same and gets shot down. Good people are leaving in droves and management is oblivious as to the root cause when in fact they contribute to the process.
