Question 1
Do you know anyone who works for Verizon Wireless?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon in Oct 2010
Interview
*recruiter contacted me from seeing my resume on careerbuilder.com
*informed me of the verizon wireless job opening, temporary and will end in january unless i do a great job then i could be hired permanently
*she asked me a few questions about my work history and sales experience, gave me a break down of the environment of verizon and if i was okay with it.
*she called me back a week later and set up an interview for the next day
*went thru the interview, she told me to sell her something, tell her about a time i had to convince someone to buy something, how i handle rejection, about a time i had a difficult customer
*i was informed the following week that i pass the interview and accepted offer, then they conducted extensive background check all the way down to high school information, and drug testing
most of the time i've always felt intimidated by ppl who work at verizon just because they are professionally dressed and very formal. they were really nice and seemed to have good employee relationships
