Pros

Paid time off and vacation time

Cons

The managers abuse their workers. One of the managers assaulted many coworkers by grabbing their butts or kissing them on the face. We reported him and he didn’t get in trouble at all. The pay was horrible. I worked there for 3 years and was only making $9/hr while people getting hired in were making $9 starting out. They take advantage of the hard working employees and we’re very racist and chose their favorites.

Pros

Most staff are genuinely energetic and smart, providing excellent contributions to their immediate and extended teams.

Cons

Leadership does not value culture. CEO Catherine Gaul-Stigge makes verbal attempts at fixing the culture only to undo any progress by her abusive and maniacal expletive hurlings toward staff. Former peers (the executive leadership team) do not properly manage the negative culture at the top nor do they check the frivolous spending on consultants and failed business ventures that the Board of Directors somehow fails to hold the CEO accountable for. This only further harms the people that need Goodwill's services.

Pros

Pay wasn't necessarily bad for the rural area, benefits, college tuition assistance, HQ provided coaching for life choices, freedom to try new things, company wide correspondence/emails weekly, opportunities for acknowledgement, opportunities for paid travel for trainings, opportunity to help others

Cons

Corporate needs to pay more attention to the smaller facilities and encourage more training for both supervisors and employees, facilities need better supervisor and program/business surveys for employees to identify issues, my facility was almost *too* lax to the point that there was no inspiration to work or motivation, my specific program had issues with lack of teamwork and gossiping/backstabbing
