Pros

One of the few things I liked about working at Goodwill was getting paid weekly. I also met some very sweet people there that still to this day are close friends.

Cons

They pay almost minimum wage, you may get health benefits but with the pay you get you can't even afford to pay the co payment to see a doctor or dentist. The store I worked at which was on Rainbow cheated customers by doubling the prices on red tag days so you would pay what they really wanted for items.

Cons

BAD MANAGEMENT! They have favoritism and treat the elderly really bad . Specially the store in 79th st New York 10027 . Worst store to work new store manager has fired all staff . Would lie to fire you. Very disrespectful. That's why I QUIT ! This job is the worst don't take or shop there . They don't meet budget I seen the store manager steal from the Safe . Really poor environment. Hr is the worst they would insult you with a smile . The worst company I have ever worked for .

Pros

Great mon-fri hours, health insurance, vacation & sick time. Office workers have a little more freedom than the instructional aides, but management tries to accomadate. OK pay. You feel like you make a difference in lives.

Cons

Not really room for advancement. Hardly any pay raises, even with minimum wage increase. Some managers add more "duties" that arent technically your job/ run you down & stress. Dont feel important at times, except to the DDA clients.
