Pros

The pros...well I honestly can't think of any besides my coworkers. They made my time there somewhat tolerable.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations of employees to meet goals such as stocking clothing, sorting, putting items out on the floor etc. Treat their employees crummy, all they seem to recognize is the negative. They steal from employees, paying for less time than was worked...make sure you check you hours against the hours they have. They mislead about holiday pay. Make sure you have a clear understanding of this or you will be working the holidays without any extra pay. They love to give write-ups. Don't allow employees to make an announcement when it's close to closing time which forces employees to stay later than their scheduled shift. So rather than getting out by 10 p.m. it was 10:30 or 11 more often than not.

Pros

I worked for goodwill for 2 years in a management role. As a non profit it is very gratifying work. I worked in a store setting and found the people and staff to be the best.

Cons

Continuously under-staffed, receiving donations, sorting, processing, pricing, the demands are very high. It was extremely difficult to stay ahead of potential problems and assigned goals due to the constant under-staffing and low budgets.

Pros

For retail it was only a 40-45 hour work week. The pay was good and the co-workers were excellent. The people that worked in the stores really care about "The Mission"

Cons

They made up reasons to cut all the top tiered salaries and made new positions in management in order to pay less.
