Pros

There is definitely room for advancement. This company likes to promote from within, even if the applicant is underqualified. Awesome Paid Time Off system - 12 days in your first year, 28 by the 8th year. Decent pay for retail but falling behind due to over spending on expansion which leads to unrealistic budget expectations and frozen wages.

Cons

The "mission" is becoming less visible and less of a focus for the company. Most stores don't have clients working in them anymore, which was formerly the best part of the job - working next to clients with special needs. There have been no bonuses or raises this year due to "not meeting key performance indicators" which translates to "we miscalculated how much our renovations would cost in our upper management offices and now the hourly employees will have to sacrifice some wages until we're back in the black".

Pros

It's a job. I met a few good people in my time working there. ONLY a few. Literally can't think of anything else "good"can about Greedwill

Cons

Cut hours, favoritism, double work less hours, disrespectful managers, never have supplies to get the work done, they expect so much work done with very little time to do it, they don't care about us as people, Goodwill is a VERY greedy company. I wouldn't advise anyone to work or donate there if they can avoid it.

Pros

The mission is the best reason. Knowing that what I do in my day makes a difference for many every day is a huge reward for me personally. The customers are great, mostly. There are those few who can put a crimp in your day, but are outweighed by the rest. The team I work with is wonderful, but we all occasionally have that day that presents us with challenges. There is alot of variety in each day to keep one from having the opportunity to get bored. The upper echelons of mgmt, all the way up to our awesome Pres/CEO, are always willing to listen to ideas and implement them if they will be advantageous company wide.

Cons

Often running on a skeleton crew and not being able to accomplish all that you want/need to. Leaving for the day without a sense of accomplishment and feeling that I have let down my team and upper mgmt.
