Pros

You get to work at home

Cons

Leadership doesn't care, at all. The benefit was minimal. They work people to death (it really happened)

Pros

Working at home is the only thing, but given the boring job is not something good.

Cons

Miserable payment for the work load, too much requirements, tests and exams for applying, they control your life, only 30 minutes to have lunch, sitting all day, they only focus in your mistakes, you don't have any free holidays at all. No help from anyone when having a tough customer or situation. They don't appreciate what it takes to be good interpreter and speak fluently a foreign language. They expect you to get every word from the customer, not to transmit the message in a good way. You are basically a human recorder that has to interpret every word, not interpret, just translate. Supervisors and trainers are hypocrites with no sense of humanity at all. They treat you as a thieve all the time, as if you're going to steal someone's information. The reality is that they are the thieves. They save the money of electricity, water, paper, internet. The job is boring and tedious, they should make it bearable at least, but they're on your back all the time, trying to make you fall. Avoid at all costs

Pros

there is a lot of training and companies provide the right opportunity for whomever want to start a career or gain some decent experience in interpretation. They also provide the right equipments for you to do the job.

Cons

too many back-to-back calls but LOW PAY, therefore, the turn-over rate is high. After six months, you are sick of taking the back-to-back calls because your mouth can be dry by the end of the day and you do not seem to be able to afford anything since their pay is low. It is impossible to reward yourself after all your living expenses. THIS JOB IS GOOD FOR STUDENTS WHO WANT SOME EXTRA INCOME WHILE IN SCHOOL OR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO GAIN EXPERIENCE IN INTERPRETATION.
