Pros

- Work at home - no need to commute during bad weather - Provide good training on their system - Unlike independent contractor, they provide W2 which is an ease of mind when filing tax

Cons

- Poor benefit and pay - No respect to their employee - being forced to switch to video interpreting without any options and compensation - Very lonely and isolated because you work at home for the whole day

Pros

If you get back to back calls you receive a decent paycheck.

Cons

Too much miscommunication from upper management. As work at home they were many issues, sometimes calls were not coming in, causing many frustrations between the employees. We had a interpreter portal that allowed us to communicate and read posts and had access to reference guide materials but the lack of communication of changes that were being made in the company was extreme, causing a negative impact on paychecks all the time. Also I was A "MSI' Medical Specialized Interpreter" but interpreted for ALL industries; government, finance, utilities, 911, legal, EVERYTHING.

Pros

Work from home - but so are many other interpreter agencies/companies

Cons

I have been with the company for 2 years. I have the highest level (all calls interpreter). The company routes the calls in such way, that you get only a few calls a day, which equals a "guaranteed pay" for non-hourly employees... I have been making less money than if I work in McDonalds. And I have to interpret complex medical calls, court proceedings and stressful calls of all kinds. It is truly pathetic and unacceptable. I read some good comments about the company - trust me, you will be disappointed. The company has a intranet where interpreters make comments like on facebook - it is nothing but rage and disappointments. All Languages, All types of interpreters. Please beware. It is supposed to be #1 company - it is a slave factory. Class A Lawsuit is coming their way no doubt.
