Pros

Work at home. That's the only upside to working here sadly. I tried thinking of others but this is it.

Cons

No advancement opportunities, no raises, high call volume, management expects you to interpret as if you were a decent paid, certified interpreter yet pay you minimum wage, management is rude, many clients are rude as well. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Stay away.

Pros

The pros are self evident. You get to work from home, so you save on gas, clothing and time.

Cons

You will be translating for some of the most ignorant people on earth; people who did not finish grade school in many cases. It is one call after the other working with people who can't spell their last name. It gets very frustrating after some time. No paid holidays and no real incentives. The company will also manage the queue to control the amount of time you get paid for. I have been here for about a year and a half and I am wishing for a new job more and more as every day goes by.

Pros

You get to work from home, which means no extra spending on gas or work appropriate clothing, and the schedules are flexible.

Cons

There are no sick days, no paid vacation time, and no holidays either (so be prepared to work on Christmas and New Year's Day, which are the two busiest days of the year). You only get around $22 per month for phone service, so if it costs you more than that, you will have to pay the difference out of pocket. You also pay for your electricity usage and are required to have a computer (which you also have to pay for on your own). If you need to replace your headset and/or phone, you have to pay out of pocket first and then get reimbursed. You can only do that every two years, though, so if you have to replace anything before then, you are on your own. And you get all this for $8 an hour!
