Flexible schedule but low pay

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

The schedule is pretty flexible.

Cons

Very busy, back to back calls. They never raise one cent of your hourly pay once you get hired. I've been working here for more than 6 years, no matter how many times you ask them to increase your hourly rate, they always reject you. Also, it's so hard to take a day off, even you have 200 plus pay vacation hours. Almost everyday on the calendar showed "0" hours available for taking time off. They just refuse to let you take a day off work when you escalated your request.

Pros

-if u love language and talking, u will enjoy this. (but back-to-back call may eventually drain ur enthusiasm.) -receiving salary on time. -management will try to accommodate ur request (as long as it's reasonable) -WFH

Cons

Most of the limited-english proficiency person are elderly. Therefore, in addition to interpretation, u need have patience. Sometimes u need to shout because a lot of them are hard of hearing. Some of their native language grammar is poor, and they often speak with a strong local accent, which means you may need to reconstruct and understand their sentences before you can interpret. These factors make it even more challenging. Now, imagine receiving over 80 calls in one shift, non-stop—it can be really stressful. The income is fixed, with no paid leave, no bonuses, and no raises. The salary is considered a bit low for a night shift. The shift schedule rotates from time to time, which can impact health (at least for me). Additionally, being on a night shift means it takes longer to recover when you're sick. Taking medical leave will affect u meeting ur salary targets unless you make up for the missed hours. In the end, it feels like you're sacrificing both your health and income. For annual leave, you have to bid for it. There are only very limited slots available each month, and some days are restricted.

Not a good company at all

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

You get paid by minutes, as long as you are logged into the system, you don't get paid only minutes you work.

Cons

No manager, no supervisor, no support. You'll have to submit a service request each time you want to say anything to the company, which really isn't working anyway, they even don't response to you most of the time. And their HR system has always some issue, so it's very hard or you can barely take time off legitimately.

Pros

I can not remember any good thing abou this company

Cons

This was by far the worst company I've ever worked for. I was there for five years, and during that time, I never received a raise. The benefits were terrible, and the work environment was toxic. If you're an interpreter, expect to be treated as nothing more than a disposable tool—you're just a means to an end. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Pros

Remote job, online training, and they pay on time. Some trainers and managers are nice.

Cons

They will work you until you break. They'll pile responsibilities with no promise of pay increase or job title change. You won't be able to reach managers via phones if you have concerns about payroll or your work hours, only through emails and support request, and they will take their time to get back to you. Their support desk can only help so much with tech support and escalations. You'll start at the lower position, then they'll force you (as in, using the agreement that you signed when you first started the job) to be in a higher level position with little to no pay increase. Rude LEPs and clients, you'll spend hours explain the application process (with complex terms) for the LEP to hangup at the end of it. If you're getting court calls and the judge ask if you're certified, they told you to say that "I am certified by LLS"

Great place to train

Pros

Bonus for performance and hours worked, additional points depending on QA percentage that you can exchange for appliances

Cons

There are lots of problems with QA, it's pretty noticeable that supervisors don't speak to each other, and you have to double make sure they updated the extra hours because they don't always submit them of course if there are extra hours available after 5 pm (if you work 9-5 you won't be able to work additional hours since most of the times the ones they have are within that range) they don't give off most US holidays, and if they do you have to complete a form to be selected. If you miss an hour or a day and don't have a sick permit you have to do extra time but if there are no hours available you miss the bonus.
