Terrible place to work!

Pros

At least you could help some customers who were in desperate need. We didn't have much of anything to give them directly, but we had a lot of resources.

Cons

*NOTE TO REVIEWER* This has already been scrubbed to meet the guidlines a few times... if you are not going to approve this, can you please tell me specifically why, thank you. *End Note*. Although, overall, Goodwill does a lot of good for people... they are terrible to their employees. I had another employee passive-aggressively attacking for me months making it a very hostile work environment. I had made my supervisor and quite a few others including the appropriate department that apparently I am not allowed to specify aware as well... all of them ignored the problem. The other employee was making up false accusations of sexual harassment on other employee's behalf (who the third parties told the appropriate department that apparently I am not allowed to specify that had never happened in response to the allegations) as well as other things that were very extreme and not something that management should have allowed to continue. I was told if I wanted it to stop, I had to do something about it myself. Eventually, it got so bad I had to tell the other employee to stop, and as soon as I did I was fired. She was fired too... but part of my dismissal letter even stated part of why I was fired was for constantly letting the appropriate department that apparently I am not allowed to specify know about what was on, as if going through the proper channels was not appropriate. I was going through more work in 4 hours a day than the other employee was doing in a week, and I get that she was jealous of that, but there was no excuse to have to work in an extremely hostile environment and nobody dealing with the problem. Since then, I have additionally been "blacklisted" where any services are refused and my supervisor refused when I asked for a reference. The turnover rate is very high because management really just does not care about you... for a company that touts how good they are to their employees, and how how they aim to create and give more jobs to the unemployed, their actions really show otherwise.

High Turn Over

Pros

Co-workers and direct supervisor were amazing. People work hard for a good cause. Good benefits offered. I enjoyed my time working at Goodwill and was offered opportunities for advancement fairly quickly.

Cons

High Turn Over rate, upper management does not value employees, low pay unless you are in a management role.
