Pros

You stay busy real busy that the time flys by.. It's never a duke moment...

Cons

They claim that they are open for any or new ideas.. Yet get bothered by any ideas that you have... There is a serious problem with communication and the district managers that are keeping big secrets, so careful what you notice going on, or keep your mouth shut about it if you really like your job... Cause i pointed out many times something wasnt adding up right, it didnt take long before management will find sneaky ways to write you up just so they can get you out of the way making excuses to get rid of you ( example a deaf man was on dressing rooms for two weeks , I pointed out to management that Hello he is deaf, he is knocking on doors HE CAN'T HEAR if a female is in there or anyone ... He just has to hope nobody is in there... Thank goodness this man was amazing anyway.. He keep his eyes on the rooms so he pretty much knew... But the fact that nobody even noticed this could be a issue for certain customer complaints if he should open the door on a mother and child or something. Anyway I only thought we all were a team and so I would mention things of that nature! I told management 16 times that the production area isn't on the same page as I watched for 7 days the money just going out the window , great products and textiles being thrown out because the labels are wrong. Nobody from district manager to store manager cared to listen to me.. So the next time a district manager came by from another district.. I told him... Then and only then did it get addressed... Then they found ways to get rid of me... After all blaming my performance issues... And mind you im 110% reliable at anytime I drop everything for the company last min shift changes or whatever..I bent over backwards to be sure I was doing everything by the best of my ability... Treating customers concerns with care and respect.. I take pride in my work.. Maybe i have learned my opinion doesn't matter and to fire me was a real blow to my self Estem , seriously they do great things for the community the disabled and they do right for themselves ... The hard part is I have won awards from a company for best overall performance team player award of the year... And I didn't even give half of my energy to that company... But I sure did for this one... I'm devastated and now in financial trouble.. And if they tell you that they have big plans for you, it might not mean what you think... I was told I had wonderful leadership qualities one day then the next day she gets mad pulls me aside too say ... It took 10 years for me to get where im at and your not going to get overnite if I have anything to do with it... I believe she was threaten by me... And I can't fiqure out why.. I'm nothing special .... But I do speak from experience I have 20 years experience as a customer before I became employed with this company.. But that doesn't mater to any one so be careful what you see hear and say... Because this company is set in the ways and have forgotten what's important they are missing a few ingredients in the formula of good ... Good luck

Pros

Friendly coworkers willing to assist when necessary for a team to complete a task. Employees are promoted based not on ability but on who they know or who they are related to in the company. HR especially, prefers to hire from outside rather than promote from within.

Cons

Management completely indifferent to employee morale. During my time there employees were leaving in droves and management didn't care enough to investigate why they left. Not a good place to work if you don't know someone within the company who can protect you.

Pros

The customers were probably the best thing. They were so interesting. The conversation is incredible. The job is mind-numbingly easy. ANYONE can do it (which is why you get only $7.50/hr)

Cons

1) Management is flaky. One day it's "follow the rules, blah blah and give NO REFUNDS" and the next day they're giving customers refunds on used items to shut them up. It makes the cashiers' jobs harder because customers know they will get their way when management comes out. 2) The high turnover rate: They refuse to hire seasonal workers because it "makes their job harder". They only hire people who will stay there for longer than 3 months, yet those same "more permanent/loyal" workers sometimes even quit within a few days. People come and go and that makes work harder b/c it gets understaffed quick.
