Pros

Ability to work full time. Management is fairly lax with attendance policies (three strike system isn't actively enforced). Good if you don't like to show up to work, bad for your coworkers.

Cons

Many of your fellow employees aren't very motivated. "Donors" often will drop off absolute trash (literally) and expect you to handle it. Low pay.

Pros

You get to quit when you find something better

Cons

1. The pay is horrible 2. The hours are horrible, constantly changing 3. Management is rude to lower management and the work place feels like high school at times. 4. The company treats their employees like they are incompetent even if you know what you are doing. 5. You are told you will cover shifts instead of being asked if you can. 6. Company policy changes depending on who is telling you about the policy. 7. The company makes you feel like you are not worth anything and that your work is not appreciated even if you come in on your days off and work off the clock so the store benefits. 8. There is no where to move up to aspire to. 9. Rarely does anyone get full time, and they schedule you for 5 days with 5 hour shifts so it is very hard to get a second job.. meanwhile they expect you to be fully committed to Goodwill even though after taxes you bring home literally $700 a month and change.

Pros

What they're doing is great. Our Back to Work program was the best out of all the programs. The "front" of team work is excellent. One could assume that all is well, but behind closed doors it's another issue entirely. The discount is pretty cool too, especially considering that the prices at Goodwill stores are superb.

Cons

Pay! I was not told that the position was temporary until after i accepted it, as well I was paid the LEAST and had to do the MOST work, because of who I was taking over for ( I was covering for someone on maternity leave) On top of that they used every excuse not to discuss the pay disparity. There is a lot of shady things going on that I will not go into details on this site but over all I had to leave ASAP. I was told that I was going to be doing one thing (Intake Specialist) but they had me doing another position entirely (Orientation Specialists) but I was not receiving the pay rate consistent with the work I was doing, actually I was receiving the pay rate under what my actual title was anyway.
