Pros

Being able to help others who cannot help themselves in the homes for developmentally disabled was wonderful, even if it was all to line the pockets of the Goodwill execs. They are laughing all the way to the bank.

Cons

The discrimination against men in this company is outrageous. Also, the favoritism runs rampant there. In my short time at Goodwill, we had more than one employee (one was our manager) caught lying and stealing for the purpose of lining their own pockets with the money that belonged to the clients who were developmentally disabled. Doesn't get much worse than that. Those who are favorites can sit around all day while those who work hard (being a man makes it that much harder) are persecuted because they are not in the "in" crowd. DON'T WORK FOR THIS COMPANY as a DSP or CRMA. DO NOT DO IT, NO MATTER WHAT.

Pros

It's a job..... You can pay some bills. You can have self esteem in yourself for trying to make a living.

Cons

The fake non profit should just make an announcement and say, "We've decided to head in a new direction. That direction, is For Profit". If that happened, this review wouldn't be necessary. VP and Director positions sit at cozy 6 figure salaries. Some directors even make $250,000 annually, not including their bonuses as well. Don't believe me? Then YouTube "Dateline's" special on Goodwill. The org pays the handicap employees below minimum wage, ranging grotesquely from 0.22 cents an hour and up. Imagine your blind daughter or son being timed to complete a task, then being told because they're not fast enough, subliminally that their not good enough, and their pay is going to be cut. Their motto is "transforming lives through the power of work". Despicable. They should all be ashamed of themselves. It's the silent owners who actually are in command. They look from their ivory white towers down below, they disregard their peons, then they laugh at their grand scale of deception and greed. Bottom-line, this org only cares about money. Absolutely Zero care for you, unless, your high enough in the game. If your coming here for a mission, I hate to tell you, its nothing more then a corporate, greedy, backstabbing, CYA, underpaying, deceptive, miserable job within most departments. I'm not disgruntled, I'm just telling it like it is.
