Pros

Good Vacation and Sick time Extended Lunches when needed Works with disabled individuals Great regulars

Cons

-Little to no communication from the store manager/ HR is very demanding about work being done -Work is overwhelming due to there being so many things that need to be done and it can lead to injuries -Constantly short staffed so there's hardly a sales floor person and only 2 cashiers. -You can get documented for the tiniest things such as taking your lunch late -You Can't buy your clothes at your own Goodwill and you have to go to another one -Management takes little account of the well being of employees and their injuries and still expects them to work at the same pace as they were of they were 100% healthy. -HR is the main cause for a lot of the problems at that specific Goodwill location as they treat the managers like crap.

Pros

I had a lot of fun with my work experience at Goodwill. I have very few negatives to state however those will be discussed down below. The management was awesome and on my last day I bought my team donuts to commemorate the awesome experience.

Cons

They threw away goods that could be donated to a local homeless shelter such as mittens, scarfs, etc. Personally I would've liked to have seen the items donated and it broke my heart to know someone would've really have cherished those items.

Pros

comfortable office, decent starting salary for entry level

Cons

Goodwill is using the job connection as a front to collect funding. There is no true emphasis on creating employable applicants or positions which will better a persons quality of life. My role was to get job seekers entered into the system and then make tons of calls each month to find out if they are working at any local job so that the goodwill could take credit for assisting the person and creating jobs. We were basically a one stop place to conduct a job search on your own and have a resume created which is a beneficial feature for people who have never had a resume. Vacation time is accrued but I never could find coverage to actually take a day off. I was so burnt out when I left.
