Pros

Get to WFH and equipment is provided

Cons

-No guidelines for regulating workload -Quality of interpretations will start to drop after about 15 to 20 minutes, and the average call was probably around 35 minutes (though calls would frequently last 60 minutes or more) - Because they actually operate several different interpretation companies that accept calls from around the world, I regularly received over 20 calls over an 8 hour shift, and they cover a wide range of topics. Company needs to reconsider employee to customer ration. - Callers would very often get angry because they don't understand the American way of doing things, and say things they would never say if they could see the other person's face. Mentally draining, and you only get paid $15 an hour.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. As a “Great Place to Work” we really care about our interpreters and are continuously working on improvements. We schedule interpreters to support the Limited English Proficient community we serve. Unfortunately, it was not a good fit for you and we wish you well in your future endeavors.

Pros

Working from home is a good plus.

Cons

After reading the employee reviews and responses from the LLS management with the email address provided to them for further inquiries, I decided to contact the management at this corporate email address.I requested to increase my pay due to inflation and also asked for a paid vacation. I have been working for LLS for more than a decade but the most pay rate that I have is just above a minimum wage in CA -$16/hour! I have a Ph.D. and long-term job experience in the field with 2 languages (one of which is rare). On top of that, the management wants me to get more responsibilities by becoming a video interpreter without any additional pay. Currently, McDonald's hires uneducated, unskillful staff at the rate of $18/hour with the paid vacation! After I sent the email to the LLS management, I got no response at all. Low and behold, I decided to email the LLS management 10 days later. This time, my email bounced back to me with the error message as non-deliverable (?!) This is a vivid example of how the LLS management treats its loyal employees! I just want to add for the sake of justice that up until a few years ago, the management was responsive and could meet my requests to some extent. Unfortunately, lately, I do not receive any response to my emails. Furthermore, my emails from my corporate email address already got blocked by the management!

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. After doing an extensive evaluation of our pay and benefits in comparison to other employers in our business, we find that our compensation and benefits while not above average, are consistent with the industry. Please note: we regularly review industry compensation. Additionally, we have many other resources available to support you. Pros

Travel and food per diem.

Cons

Company does not care about their employees. Management talks down to employees. There is no advancement within company and management will hold you back. There is no work life balance. You are expected to work while traveling. They expect you to work in airports when you have 6am flights, work on flights, once you land you have to immediately go to work at whatever site you have been assigned to and then you are expected to work once you arrive to your hotel after traveling and working. Implementation management team will talk to you with disrespect. Company treats implementation team as if there expandable.
