Pros

Job training. You get experience in interpreting if you've never been an interpreter before. Picking your own schedule is pretty cool Also working from home is a great deal, save on the money for the commute

Cons

Rude LEPs and clients If something wrong happens during the call, YOU are to blame, not the customer or the LEP (even if it wasn't your fault) Constant calls Too much pressure No PTO, holidays off You're treated more like a machine than a human Pay is terrible. You make more working at your local Target store than you do here

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. As a “Great Place to Work” we really care about our interpreters and are continuously working on improvements. We schedule interpreters to support the Limited English Proficient community we serve. Unfortunately, it was not a good fit for you and we wish you well in your future endeavors.

Pros

Flexibility with families, their drowning so you know you have decent job security, the translation/interpretation industry is really cool and if you're lucky, your office is very diverse

Cons

Because they're drowning, you will be expected to work between 10-30 hours extra a week. Poor management - seems completely out of touch. Poor benefits. Poor pay. Poor company morale. An attitude that blames their employees instead of taking responsibility for its own shortcomings.

Pros

Can stay home and work as long as you wants. If it is a full time interpreter position, you can taste how a hectic job is. Can improve interpreter skills quickly and only is a first step into the door for Interpreter to move to others companies.

Cons

Very isolated and stressful job with an average reimbursement.
