Pros

If you are a beginner, LLS is a good company to start with. The company provides excellent training and offers very heavy workload, which helps polishing your skills and gaining valuable experience.

Cons

Once you’ve developed your capabilities, you can move on to better-Paying and more decently treated positions. Consider LLS as a training ground for your career in interpreting.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. It is unfortunate you are not finding the support you need available. We have many resources including a team of managers available to support and help our interpreters grow and be successful. We connect clients to our team of 35,000 professional, on-demand interpreters via audio or video in 30 seconds or less. We provide these services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year and schedule our interpreters within the labor law to meet the demand. If you would like to discuss further, please email interpretercommunications@languageline.com.

Pros

- Open to part-time arrangements. - Ability to work fully remotely. - Comprehensive and thorough training. If you're relatively new to interpreting and are looking for a fast-paced environment with the ability to work from home and a high level of autonomy, this might be it for you.

Cons

- The pay doesn't quite match the level of expertise and emotional labor required for the job. - There's a prolonged interpreter scarcity, so the call volume can be high with back-to-back interpreting with little opportunity for breaks. This can be demanding and stressful and inevitably affect the quality of work. If you're an experienced interpreter seeking competitive compensation and manageable workloads, it's worth looking elsewhere.

Thank you for your review. Part-time employees are not eligible for the same benefits as full-time employees. Schedules are produced every two weeks in advance and a calendar of publishing dates is available. If you would like to discuss further or need assistance with finding correct information, please email interpretercommunications@languageline.com.

Pros

I like this company, the training is good and they allow you to work remotely from most locations in the country. Even though I work from home, I am still able to reach out to anyone for any assistance, and email communication has been clear.

Cons

The benefits are not the best, that is my only issue.

Thank you for sharing your positive feedback about our training program, work-from-home policy, and the availability of assistance when needed. We are thrilled to hear that these aspects of our company culture have contributed positively to your experience with us. While our benefits are not above average, in comparison to other employers in our business, they are consistent with the industry.
