Pros

The initial training was fine.

Cons

Management doesn't respond. Once on site the training moved again and again. I only had one positive experience of all 3 locations. I only had 3 days of in office with a trainer and was told it going be cut and moved onto my hospital location at the time. I was given 24hrs notice of moving locations when I did and the training at my location was very inadequate. People taking 40m breaks, etc. There was no structure. I had no access to emails or systems for 2 weeks. I wasn't paid for my last day as well as they controlled my timesheet.

Pros

Staff is friendly Hybrid work is available

Cons

Training was rushed and not structured Back to back calls no time to breath, which I think is important given the fact that you will be dealing mostly with angry customers and calls maybe emotional draining High staff turnover suggests something is wrong

Thank you for your honest feedback! We're glad to hear that you appreciate the friendly staff and the availability of hybrid work. We sincerely apologize if your training experience felt rushed. While we do have a structured training process in place, we acknowledge the need for continuous improvements and will take your suggestion into consideration to make training more flexible and effective. We understand that back-to-back calls can be challenging, and schedules are structured to meet business requirements. We continuously look for ways to improve workload management and enhance employee support. We also recognize concerns about staff turnover and are actively working on strategies to improve retention through engagement, career growth opportunities, and a more supportive work environment.

Pros

Quite an easy job. The role itself is alright. I started out in personal banking and after six months, moved into the fraud team. Fraud is so, so much better than personal banking. Money is alright for a call centre but could be better due to the high cost of living right now. Paid fortnightly. There are opportunities to progress at the company. Can work from home but it takes a long time before you’re able to. Friendly staff.

Cons

Training is awful and rushed. You are in no way prepared for calls by the time that training is over. You just have to learn on the job. Team leaders seem to only care about our statistics as that’s what makes them look good, rather than our customer service or call quality so, y’know, our actual job… Headsets are awful. You’re constantly having to repeat yourself as the customer cannot hear you which is ridiculously frustrating. People are burnt out because there isn’t enough staff. It’s constant back to back calls. There’s no managers available when you need help - you’re just told to message the teams chat which people take ages to reply to so you’re leaving the caller on hold for a long time. Systems are outdated and crash a lot or take ages to load. Money wasted on pizza days won’t fix low staff morale - fixing the above does. There’s a reason why there is a huge turnover in staff, it’s a shame because the company has huge potential.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're glad to hear that you found the job itself manageable and enjoyed the opportunity to transition into the fraud team. However, we're concerned about your comments regarding the training process and team leader support. Our goal is to ensure our colleagues are well-prepared and feel supported in their roles, and we'll take your feedback into account as we continue to improve our training and management practices. We appreciate your suggestion about better equipment and will consider this as well. Lastly, we understand that pizza might not always be the most effective way to show appreciation, and we continually explore alternative ways to reward hard work through our reward programme.

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that you found our initial training courses beneficial. However, we're concerned about the issues you've raised regarding incorrect wages, micromanaging, work-life balance, and feeling unsupported. We apologise for any distress this caused, especially during the holiday season. We take these matters seriously and we have worked closely with the compensation and benefits team to further strengthen our processes to ensure that all colleagues are paid accurately and on time.

Pros

There aren’t any unless you building experience

Cons

Started off on the Lloyds contract and all was going so well. When Lloyds pulled out told we being transferred as we “were the best call takers” which was absolutely not true as some of the people transferred were the biggest call avoiders. Approximately 60 were first for alleged bad stats and as far as I knew these were the real hard working people. Along comes NatWest training went ok but NatWest had a very toxic culture encouraged by Firstsource management, most advisors way too young and many spotted in opposite sex’s bathrooms engaged in illicit activities. Because of the lack of calls being answered the ones actually working weee out under a lot of stress hence I no longer work there, the targets and stats are unrealistic

Thank you for sharing your experience. We appreciate your honesty and understand that transitioning between contracts can be challenging. We take concerns about fairness, workplace culture, and operational targets seriously. While we strive to recognize and retain the best talent, we acknowledge that experiences can vary, and we regret that you felt the selection process was not reflective of actual performance. Additionally, workplace conduct, and culture are priorities, and any reports of inappropriate behaviour should be addressed promptly. If you would like to discuss your experience further or provide specific details, we would be happy to listen and take appropriate action. Please feel free to reach out directly to: (Darryl Coleman) Wishing you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Work from home capability, can be flexible with enough notice.

Cons

Starts and ends with management. 1 supervisor was good. The managers are awful, enjoy bullying people. Long hours, constant system issues that they demand you clock out until they fix it then still expect 8 full working hours for their own system issues. Pay is LOW. They lied and said it was hourly, then after training they tell you about matrix pay. Paid holidays mean nothing if they overload OT on to "make up" for time missed.
